Cultural and Civic Forum Neustadt a.d. Aisch

The historic riding hall at the castle from 1908 was converted into a concert, theater, and conference center in 2008. The new building envelops the old building. The arched arcades reminiscent of a Colosseum signal that it is an event venue. They engage in a dialogue with the opposite medieval city wall and enrich the urban situation located on the edge of the city center.

The old building houses the hall for 450 people, while the new building accommodates all necessary and desired additional facilities such as a multifunctional room, conference room, cloakroom, sanitary facilities, stage ancillary rooms, etc. The old and new buildings are separated by a glass joint – a glass roof transitioning into vertical glazing, making them clearly distinguishable. The choice of materials was also clearly differentiated. The old building features noble wood and matte colors, while the new building is bright and brilliant.
